Our LED dimmers are equipped with 4 channels and support voltages of 12V, 24V and even 48V. Each channel can handle a load of up to 3 amps, resulting in a whopping 288W of total power at 24V and even 576W at 48V! These PWM dimmers offer the following options, which you can of course change at any time:

• Controlling four separate lighting circuits,
• Operating one to two tunable white light circuits,
• Control an RGBW light circuit,
• Or connect all four channels and use four times the output power for a single light circuit.

How does a PWM dimmer work?

A PWM dimmer regulates the light intensity by switching the power supply to the LED on and off in rapid pulses (PWM frequency). The duration of these pulses determines the brightness of the LED or the individual colors in RGBW and tuneable white.

What PWM frequency should I use for LEDs?

Under no circumstances should the frequency be set too low! 200Hz is the lowest minimum, 600Hz or above is recommended. The human eye varies from person to person and from about 150Hz most people do not recognize individual images/stroboscopic effects, even with fast-moving objects, but the flicker index is higher at low frequencies and has negative effects on our organism.

Are 24V LED dimmers compatible with all Emilum LED products?

Yes, our 12V-24V LED dimmers are fully compatible with all 24V LED luminaires from Emilum, including LED spots, LED strips, ceiling and wall luminaires and also our LED bulbs, e.g. E27 24V.

What interfaces do 24V LED dimmers offer?

Our 24V LED dimmers can be ordered either as DALI control devices or DMX controller variants. These standardized interfaces can be easily integrated into your smart home

How can you dim LED strips?

To dim an LED strip, you need the LED strip, a power supply and a PWM dimmer. For a 24V LED strip, you use a 24V power supply and connect the 24V LED dimmer to it. For an RGBW LED strip, you need 4 channels, for a tuneable white strip 2 channels and for a white LED strip 1 channel. The remaining channels can be used for other lighting circuits and controlled independently.
