Spotlight bulbs with 24V for MR16, GU10, GU5.3 mounting frames

Thanks to their 50 mm diameter, the LED light sources are compatible with standard GU10, GU5.3, and MR16 spotlights—a clear advantage when renovating and modernizing existing installations. This design not only ensures maximum variety in terms of design and combination options, but also impresses with the interchangeability of the spot bulbs and mounting frames. Discover the latest product series of our 24V LED spots!

Advantages of LED spotlights from Emilum

The uniform MR16 reflector size (MR stands for multifaced reflector) defines the diameter at 50 mm and is therefore fully compatible with standard mounting frames for GU10 and GU5.3. The LED spotlight with replaceable light source is therefore completely separate from the design of the mounting frame. This means that the technology or light color can be changed at a later date, for example.
In addition, the MR16 spots impress with proven Emilum technologies! Whether constant light output with fluctuating 24V supply, high color rendering of CRI>90, narrowly selected, high-quality brand LEDs, or flicker-free light with maximum efficiency.
Of course, all light sources are compatible with all modern smart home systems and can be perfectly controlled using PWM and RGBW dimmers!

2 power levels, available in 6 light variants each

These interchangeable LED spotlights are available in two power levels (5 watts and 7 watts) and cover a wide range of applications with their broad spectrum of light colors. Depending on the area of application, you can choose between flat spotlights for confined installation situations or the brighter 7W versions.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What is the difference between MR16, GU10, and GU5.3?

MR16 refers to the reflector diameter (50 mm), not the base. GU10 stands for high voltage (230 V), GU5.3 is for 12/24 V systems – our spotlights are mechanically compatible with MR16, but electrically designed for 24 V.

Are the LED bulbs compatible with GU10 sockets?

Mechanically, yes – the MR16 standard fits into many GU10 mounting frames. Electrically, however, they require a constant voltage of 24 V, not 230 V. Thanks to the numerous variants, the spot bulbs are equipped with cables, so that RGBW lighting can also be implemented, for example

What does "replaceable light bulb" mean for LED spotlights?

Unlike many permanently installed LED spotlights, only the bulbs can be replaced separately in this product line – similar to classic halogen spotlights. This reduces follow-up costs, conserves resources and offers maximum flexibility in terms of design, color temperature or technical upgrades.

What variants are available for the 24V spot bulbs?

There are 5W and 7W versions in the following designs: 2700K, 3000K, Tunable White, Dim-to-Warm, RGBW+2700K, and RGBW+3000K. All are in MR16 format with 24V technology.

Are the LED bulbs dimmable?

Yes, like all our products, the spot bulbs are fully dimmable. PWM dimmers are used for this purpose, and our products are also fully compatible with all known smart home systems

Why does Emilum also have non-replaceable spotlights in its portfolio?

The 24V LED spotlights with fixed mounting frames are justified for several reasons. The uniformity of the components allows for further improvement of the cooling system and also simplifies installation, as there is no need to connect multiple components to each other. To ensure flexibility here too, we have launched our popular Swing Spot series with interchangeable covers.

Why do 230V spotlights break?

LED spotlights can break for various reasons. The most common causes are overheating and defective electronics in the drivers. For this reason, they are not used in 24V LED spotlights, which also offers better dimming performance. This was one of the reasons why we decided to launch these spotlights on the market, as it allows you to replace your 230V spotlights with 24V spotlights and switch to long-lasting products.
