Description:

The universal LED connectors are perfect for connecting COB LED strips in a variety of ways without soldering. In addition to the classic extension of the strip, their areas of application also include use as LED corner connectors or LED cross connectors. Furthermore, these LED connectors can also be used in a variety of ways for feeding in via cables.

The transparent housing of the punch connectors also does not affect the homogeneous light of the COB strips.

Installing LED connectors:

  1. Check for compatibility: Make sure that the LED strip connector is compatible with the width and type of LED strip.
  2. Disconnect the power supply: Switch off the power supply to avoid short circuits or damage.
  3. Cut the LED strip: Only cut along the marked cutting lines. They are usually located between the contacts. Cut cleanly and straight.
  4. Check polarity: Make sure that the pins of the two strips are aligned correctly. The polarity, or channels, are marked on the LED strip.
  5. Connect: Push the LED strip completely into the connector so that the contact surfaces of the LED strip can connect to the metal terminals of the connector.
  6. Close the connector: Now carefully press the connector closed until it clicks. This ensures a secure connection.
  7. Check the connection: Reconnect the power supply and turn on the LED system.
  8. Finally: Attach the connector including the LED strip and make sure that the connection is secured against slipping or loosening.

The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a measure of lighting quality that assesses how naturally and accurately a light source reproduces colors compared to sunlight. The value ranges from 0 to 100, with 100 representing the best color rendering. A CRI of 90 or higher indicates very high color rendering. Values lower than a CRI of 90 distort the natural colors of illuminated objects.

Looking for corner connectors?

Conventional corner connectors for LED strips may seem practical at first glance, but they are often only suitable for fixed 90° angles and offer little flexibility during installation, which can make it difficult to cut the LED strips to the exact length. Connectors with cables are the better solution here. The cable can be easily tucked away in the LED channel and allows for a clean, flexible connection, even if the corner doesn’t fit exactly or a little more flexibility is needed.
